The Prizes

Grand Prize (2):

Two grand prizes will be drawn. Each grand prize winner will receive both the Valentine Cat and Valentine Dog PDF patterns, and Prairie Point Junction’s “Puppy Love” bundle of felt as shown above (as well as a few other small pieces of felt colors needed for the patterns). The felt bundle may have a few color substitutions from what we originally used in our patterns, but in general, this lovely bundle is perfect for you to make one each of the cat and dog!

(Disclaimer: Since the grand prizes include the shipping of felt, they can only be awarded to US residents)

Second Place (3):

There will be 3 second place prizes handed out! The second place prize winners will receive both the Valentine Cat and Dog PDF patterns! These will be sent by email.

Third Place (5):

5 third place prizes will be handed out! Third place winners will win their choice of the Valentine Cat OR the Valentine Dog PDF pattern! These will be sent by email.

Important note: All patterns will be emailed to you as a PDF pattern. No patterns will be physically mailed to you.

Other Important Notes

• If you are a winner, but you already own our Valentine Cat or Dog pattern(s), we will happily switch out your prize for a different holiday cat or dog pattern (or any other $5 pattern, if you already own all our holiday cat and dog patterns). The Puppy Love felt bundle cannot be switched out however.

• If you don’t end up winning, but would still like to make the Valentine Cat and Dog, you can find Prairie Point Junction’s “Puppy Love” felt bundle in their online shop! And you can find the Valentine Cat & Dog patterns for sale in our Etsy shop.

• As mentioned above, some of the colors in the Puppy Love felt bundle are not exact matches for the colors we mentioned in our patterns. However, they are very close and will still work well!

  1. I couldn’t decide which was my favorite. I can already see each of the dog/cat designs for all of the holidays in my house. I love decorating for each holiday during the year. This is going to be such a fun project.

  2. I love the Daffodil Easter set. These are hard to choose from as they are all so perky and happy. Just what I need.

  3. I too love all of these patterns. If I have to select one I am leaning toward the Patriotic 4th of July Dog. He is just gorgeous.

  4. As I love Fall, the Halloween Cat and Fall Cat are definitely my favorites. Thank you for this opportunity to win the Valentine’s Day Cat and Dog. They are adorable and my Granddaughter’s Birthday is Valentine’s Day and would love to make them for her.

  5. I absolutely LOVE Valentine Dog with his beautiful collar of roses! He is precious! I love all things “Valentine” but Valentine Dog (Cat is great too) was designed to personify the mood of the holiday with sweetness and beauty!

  6. I love the Valentine’s Day puppy!!! It reminds me so much of my dog Molly. I would love to make these also for the local animal shelter’s fund raiser craft sale. Thanks so much for desiging these gorgeous pups!!!

  7. I think my favorite is the Valentine dog and cat. They are all wonderful and I would enjoy any one of them. Thank you for the chance to make one of them.

  8. I love working with wool felt. My favorite is the Valentine cat and dog! I love the colors of Valentines Day!

  9. I love all your Patterns My favorite would be St. Pat’s Looking forward to more awesome patterns. Thank you

  10. I love your patterns with all the details. The Valentine Kitty as well as the Easter one are my favorites. Thanks for the opportunity to participate in the give-away contest.

  11. Wow what can I say, I love them all, but if I had to choose, I love the Valentine cat and dog, I recently adopted a kitten, her name is Lily, and she brings much joy to my heart.. Thank you for all your whimsey babies.

  12. I enjoy working with felt and really like the Valentine Dog and Cat for several reasons. Not just for
Valentines Day but with their big hearts would bring a smile to anyone on their birthday, Mothers Day
or just to bring a smile to someone who is not feeling well. They are so cheerful and can warm anyone’s
heart. You have such unique patterns and all are just precious in their own way. Thank you for the free
patterns as well. You inspire us all!

  13. I honestly cant pick any one pattern. They are all absolutely adorable. If I HAD to choose between the cats or the dogs I would have to choose the cats, only because I’m partial to cats.

  14. After looking at all your creations (For the first time) I am excited and delighted to say “I love them all”. But I tend to gravitate toward green, so my most favorite would have to be the St. Patrick Day dog and kitty! Im sure they will bring me extra luck if i rub their tummies too! LOL There so cute!

  15. My grandson is 11. Hard to be a boy at this age when he wants to still be young enough that he enjoys comforting, hug-able things & still be encouraged to leave those things behind for the more masculine, grown-up things society deems fit-able for a BOY! So I’ll sneak him the puppy for Valentines where he can “hide” it from view but bring it out when he still needs that secret snug-able item that reminds him that we still LOVE each other. Thanks for the idea!!! SO DARNED CUTE!!!!

  16. All the cats and dogs are super cute but I have to admit that the Halloween themed ones are my faves as it is my favorite day.

  17. I’d make your Valentine Dog! My old Hound Dog had a heart attack last week, and when they did an x-ray her heart was as big as the one on your pattern!

  18. I am a “felt-fan” for many years now… but just recently discovered this site….
The designs are so different from the dutch one’s…. but very well made and detailed !!!!
I am a fan from now on…..especially the cats !!!

    Marja

  19. I love the Valentine dog. I have five dogs, so I am partial to canines, but don’t get me wrong—I love the cat too! I am not prejudiced! Thank you for offering this fun giveaway during the cold dark winter.

  20. Your patterns are truly original. Each holiday dog and cat is unique and colorful. Since I’m partial to cats and Irish my favorite is the St. Paddy’s Day kitty. Thanks for an opportunity to win a new pattern.

  21. I just love the Valentine dog & cat. I’m a doggy person with a Shih-tzu. Your patterns are so cute! Thank you for the opportunity to win.

  22. How can I decide? They are both wonderful! Would love to find something for a French Bulldog or a Boston which are the pups my kids have!

  23. I love, love, love all the cat and dog patterns. I’m really thankful you share those free projects with us, too. I haven’t made them all yet, but I’m working on it. It’s really hard to say which one is my favorite, but since we are told to chose our favorite, I’ll choose the 4th of July cat. But, truth be known, I like which ever one I’ve just made the very, very bestest! I don’t make mine as a stuff animal. I make them as wall hangings. Everyone oohs and aahs over them thinking I’m so clever when it’s really the squishy cute girls that are the clever ones. Thank you God for giving them their talents, and thank you girls for sharing those talents with us!

  24. Love the Valentines Cat and Dog patterns. Pets are such an important part of our lives and you have really captured that in these patterns!!!!!

  25. I think the Valentine cat and dog are the most adorable because the hearts represent their unconditional love.

  26. I love cats and dogs but I am really a cat person. My most favorite is the Valentine set. I especially like the heart on the dog. The hearts on the animals also can represent the unconditional love that our pets give us. I
would love to win this pattern, I know several people who I would love a set of these cuties. I think all of your patterns are adorable.

  27. Love the cat and dog for the Valentine’s Day. Harmonious colors and well-designed. It’s very difficult to choose one of the two, both are lovely. Thank you for offering the chance to participate in this giveaway. Best regards.

  28. Wow – I love the seasonal kitty. I just set up a seasonal table in my living room and am searching for items to make and display on it – I think the seasonal kitty would be Purrfect……

  29. I am loving your patterns ever since I found them online! The directions are exceptional! My current favorite is Valentine Cat – but my favorite sorta changes depending on who I am stitching on!

  30. I think all patterns are awesome! (but my heart is with “Jingle the Christmas Cat “, he’s sooooo cute!! <3 ) and "off -holydays cats or dogs" my favorite is the Raccoon.
Thamks for the chance to win one of these fabulous patterns!

  31. I really love Liberty and Old Glory! I’m definitely a dog person but I have to say the cat is cuter than the dog this time!

  32. I sincerely love Midnight the Halloween Cat and really, all of the cats. Thanks for the giveaway!

  33. I think the Christmas puppy is definitely my favourite!! So cute, I plan on making it this year for friends!

  34. My favorite holiday dog pattern is: Lucky the St. Patrick’s Day Dog. I’m planning on making one for my Mom <3 I just have to say I love your patterns!! :) I know many make requests for certain patterns, so I'd like to add to the many requests and ask for a Maltese and Shih Tzu dog pattern. :) These are my lovely furbabies and I would like to add them to my Westie baby :) Thank you :)

Good luck everyone!! Thank you to Squishy-Cute Designs and Prairie Point Junction for having this awesome giveaway!! :D

  35. Your new patterns for Valentine Kittie and Doggie are so cute! I have two cats and I dog and your patterns remd me of them. So full of love.

  36. Holly the Christmas Dog is my favorite. I love your patterns, especially the Backyard Birds series. Thanks for the giveaway opportunity.

  37. I can’t wait to make the Valentine kitty for my mother to sit by the fireplace. Then, I need to make one for myself! We love cats and homemade crafts/gifts.

  38. I hope I win the drawing! I absolutely ADORE the Backyard Birds patterns. I’m planning to decorate my Christmas tree with them next year.

  39. Oh my! I have looked at the Valentine, St. Patricks Day, and Easter dogs and kitties and all I can say is I dare not look at any more of the holiday pairs because I could never decide which one I like best. That said I like the Valentine cat best and the easter cat next.

  40. I really like the patriotic dog pattern, but the valentine dog is a close second! Also, i totally love the nuthatch…one of my favorite birds

  41. The Valentine dog is my favorite of the dogs and cats… although that heart on the cat is really cute. Thank you for such high quality patterns.

  42. I have just discovered your web site (Squishy-cute) and love love love it. Well check everything out to see what my favorite patterns are. Thank you for the giveaway opportunity

  43. My favorite puppy is “Lucky, the St. Patrick’s Day Dog.” With an Irish name like McGahan, it would have to be that one!

  44. I adore the valentine cat!! My daughter is just learning how to sew and has been working with simple felt craft kits, this would be perfect for her!!

  45. I prefer little dog.. but i speak english just a little… quindi continuo in italiano. Mi piace lo sguardo del cagnolino, così ingenuo e tenero. Complimenti… he is really beautifull :-)

  46. Adore all your designs, but of the holiday dogs and cats, I would have to say that the St. Patrick’s Day pup is my all time fave. (I’m part Irish so I’m a little prone to love anything St. Patrick’s Day, and since I’m a Dog person rather than a cat person….)

  47. Love the new patterns! just spotted the hummingbird! and the nut hatch! How adorable. have made 3 chickadees for the Christmas tree. Cute but not childishly cutsie. Any one would like to get one as a gift any time of the year!

  48. So cute! To be honest I really don’t like cats or dogs that much but these felt friends are adorable and I would love to own the dog.

  49. I love Easter Cat but it was hard to choose. New to your site but l love it and will be back. Thanks for the giveaway….

  50. I love the Valentine cat, which I WILL buy, because I have cats, and it’s, well, adorable! But then so is the Valentine dog!! But if I had to choose, it’s the cat. Meow!!

  51. While they’re all so cute, Midnight the Halloween cat and Spooky the Halloween dog would be my first choice. My almost 4 yr old son loves everything Halloween so these would be for him. Thanks for the giveaway.

  52. They are both cute, but I think the cat is adorable. The St. Patrick’s Day cat and dog are very cut also.

  53. These patterns are so beautiful with a clever blend of colours and design elements, how could anyone NOT find them beautiful and works of art too. The ‘pastel’ tones work a treat.

  54. Love these designs…..love the cat….the heart design on front …the color combinations….the WHOLE package! WONDERFUL!

  55. I can really tell the quality of felt. I stitch Wedding Ring Pillows. I pray for the couple and stitch them with Love. I put their names and date of the wedding. I’ve made over 100 small pillows. Try to use the colors of their Wedding etc. Just a fun thing to do. I started over 20 years ago. I messed up a few times and the felt didn’t hold up. Now I try to be careful what I use.

  56. Love them both. Widow – funds are low debts are high. Just save your post to look at your cute patterns. Hard to say witch is cuter. Maybe the cat. No maybe the dog. I stitch a lot of felt. When my husband passed away, stitching really kept my mind at ease. Keep up the good work! : )

  57. My favorite holiday cat and dog is all of them!!!!
I love the idea of just switching them out each holiday!
I get to see their familiar faces every month!
You can do more because I love to switch them and see the new and charming looks of each cat and dog!

  58. It is way too hard to decide which I like best. Both are adorable but the kitty takes the lead by just a tiny bit.

  59. I love the Christmas ones!! But then I love them all. Super cute. Thanks for a chance to win one of these

  60. I’m what you’d call a borderline crazy cat lady with 10 cat living with us, therefore the CAT pattern has to be my favourite but would stitch any felt pattern …

  61. I love the Halloween cat. That one is my favorite.
Also Note: I absolutely love the Reindeer Pattern and the Bassett Hound Pattern. I want to make the Bassett Hound for my mom-in-law. I’m making a note to buy that pattern.

  62. Your critters are soooo cute. I love Midnight the Halloween cat, but Acorn the Thanksgiving cat is great too. Thanks for the giveaway opportunity.

  63. Although I love them all, I love Halloween . . . so I would have to say your Halloween kitty is my favorite!
