Nuthatches are not as well known as some other common backyard birds, but they are still quite cute and unique in their markings. They can often be seen landing face down on branches and feeders, as this seems to be one of their preferred ways of sitting. Norman is designed after the red-breasted nuthatch specifically.

Valentine Glue Heart Suncatchers

With Valentine's Day not too far off, you may be looking for some fun crafts to do with the kids! These heart suncatchers are made of glue, and are a great alternative to stained glass. Kids can make these themselves and hang them in the window. We provide the templates needed to make a variety of hearts!

Bluebird!

We've decided to get another Backyard Bird ornament pattern completed next, since our bird series seems to be a favorite! We have a very long list of birds to be made, but up next is a bluebird! 

And while we may take a short break on our bird series after the bluebird, we are planning a goldfinch to be the next one after that!

We also are going to get back to our dog breed collection as soon as we can, and will be focusing on a poodle next in that collection. 

We hope to have many new fun patterns for this year, and plan to complete many of the patterns we've mentioned in past newsletters as well!!
